Access Bank CEO, Herbert tweeted ‘Let us number our days’ just before his demise
Access Holdings Plc’s late Group Chief Executive Officer, Herbert Wigwe, had posted a thought-provoking message on appreciating life just three weeks before tragically losing his life in a helicopter crash.
In a tweet dated January 19, Wigwe expressed, “Today and always, let us remember that life is a precious gift – a chance to breathe, feel, love, experience, and connect. Let’s honor this gift by living with purpose, kindness, and gratitude, making every moment count. Let us number our days.”
Wigwe reportedly met his untimely demise in a helicopter crash near the Nevada border in California, USA. The crash also claimed the lives of his wife and son.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, with reports suggesting the helicopter went down east of Interstate 15, near Halloran Springs Road.
