President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, decried the poor condition of the framework in Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps saying he has thought that it was hard to return to the camps on account of the sorry sights that stood up to him during his last visit in August 2019.
Buhari who expressed this while introducing the National Humanitarian Coordination Committee (NHCC) denounced those overseeing assets from Non-Governmental Organizations and global associations for the IDPs of being foolish saying recipients were not feeling the effect of the assets.
The NHCC is led by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Sadia Umar and National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Mungonu as co-Chairman. Buhari, be that as it may, said he needed the previous Minister of Defence, Gen. Theophilius Danjuma (rtd) to head the board of trustees to guarantee responsibility of funds, however, that he had argued to be pardoned contending that age was not on his side.
