ADC opens new party offices in Fika, Nangere, Gadaka, launches inclusive leadership committee (Pictures/Videos)

In a vibrant display of unity, hope, and democratic renewal, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) marked a historic milestone with the official commissioning of its new Local Government Party Office in Fika and a dedicated Ward Office in Gadaka.

The joyous occasion brought together hundreds of party members, community elders, youth groups, and women’s associations all celebrating a bold step forward for grassroots political engagement in Yobe State.

Led by prominent ADC leaders including Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri, Dr. Zainab Haruna, Engr. Abubakar Adamu Waziri, Hon. Umar Kalli (State Party Chairman), Hon. Lawan Mammadu Kori, Dr. Umar Majalam, Dr. Barde Gadaka, and Dr. Mamu Muhammad, the event underscored the party’s deepening commitment to local representation and inclusive governance.

The newly commissioned offices will serve as dynamic hubs for political mobilisation, civic education, and community development initiatives ensuring that the voices of Fika’s residents are heard and amplified at every level of government.

A major highlight of the day was the inauguration of the ‘Transitional Leadership Committee (TLC)’ for Fika Local Government, with Babayo B. Tonga sworn in as Chairman.

In his inaugural address, Chairman Tonga reaffirmed ADC’s open-door policy, emphasising that “our party belongs to everyone especially our energetic youth and visionary women.”

He called on all citizens to actively participate in shaping the party’s future and contributing to sustainable development in their communities.

The party also inaugurated a Transition Committee in Nangere Local Government, with Hon. Haruna Garba appointed as Chairman, to coordinate party activities, strengthen internal structures, and ensure smooth administrative operations at the local level.

The atmosphere was electric with optimism, as cultural performances, drumming, and chants of support filled the air, a testament to the growing enthusiasm for ADC’s message of unity, transparency, and progress.

With these new offices and leadership structures in place, the ADC is poised to strengthen its grassroots presence, foster greater civic participation, and build a more inclusive political future for Yobe State and beyond.
