Yobe government partners with AIA Foundation to implement successful educational outreach programme
The Office of the Senior Liaison Officer to the Executive Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni CON, on Community Outreach, led by the Senior Liaison Officer, Muhammad Umar Danfulani, in strategic partnership with AIA Foundation, Nusret Educational and Cultural Co. Ltd, Near Foundation, and the Centre for Humanitarian Impact and Development, successfully implemented a Collaborative Educational Outreach Programme aimed at uplifting orphaned children through education, moral guidance, and community-driven support in Yobe State.
This initiative stands as clear evidence that when relevant organisations unite around a shared vision of community development, progress becomes not only possible but inevitable.
As part of the outreach, Qur’ans, writing materials, and food items were distributed to orphaned children, reaffirming the collective commitment to nurturing both their educational and moral foundations.
PURPOSE AND STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT
The programme was designed to inspire learning, strengthen moral values, and demonstrate that sustainable development is best achieved through collective responsibility and partnership. It aligns seamlessly with the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni CON, Executive Governor of Yobe State, whose administration consistently prioritises education, inclusive growth, strategic collaboration, and community ownership under the guiding philosophy of Yobe for All.
The Team Lead, Umar Muhammad Danfulani, delivered a strong and inspiring call to action. He urged stakeholders, including business leaders, professionals, civil society organisations, and students, to actively support and contribute to the Governor’s vision of Yobe for All.
He emphasised that the success of the programme was made possible only through the collective efforts of all partners and supporters, noting that without collaboration, impactful community development cannot be achieved.
He further stressed that development is a shared responsibility and called on all citizens to contribute through ideas, mentorship, resources, and service towards building a stronger and more prosperous Yobe State.
VIRTUAL MENTORSHIP SESSION
A major highlight of the outreach was an inspiring virtual mentorship session delivered by Engr. Adamu Abdullahi, an Electrical Engineer and indigene of Yobe State currently working in Germany. In his address to the students, he encouraged them to remain disciplined, hardworking, prayerful, and committed to learning.
He reminded the students that success is attainable through hard work, dedication, consistent study, and faith, while emphasising that numerous opportunities exist for those who prepare themselves through education. He also advises the students to cultivate a culture of Excellence.

SPECIAL SESSION OF PRAYERS
A special session of prayers was observed during the programme. Prayers were offered for all individuals and organisations who donated Qur’ans, educational materials, food items, and financial support, with supplications for divine reward and blessings upon them.
Special prayers were also offered for His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, as well as for leaders across Yobe State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, seeking divine guidance, peace, unity, and sustained progress.
