Buni signs ₦515.5bn 2026 Yobe state budget into law

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has signed the ₦515.5 billion 2026 Appropriation Bill into law, marking a key milestone in the state’s financial planning for the coming year.

The budget, which was passed by the Yobe State House of Assembly, is expected to prioritise critical sectors including education, healthcare, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and economic growth. Governor Buni said the spending plan reflects the aspirations of the people and aligns with his administration’s commitment to improving living standards across the state.

The Yobe governor highlighted that the 2026 budget would support ongoing efforts to strengthen security, expand social services, and attract investments that would drive sustainable development in the state.
