The first Nigerian Professor of Graphoanalysis and the first black African Professor of Graphoanalysis is Professor Ikechukwu Benjamin Ezeohagwu, briefly known as Professor Ben Ezeohagwu, a Nigerian academic, Artist, Poet, Writer, Author and Graphonomist. He is the Chancellor and Founder, African American University, Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, a world-class University of choice, purpose-driven in the pursuit of quality education blended towards producing self-reliant entrepreneurial human resources.

Ben Ezeohagwu was born in the year 1970 in Mgbidi, Awgu local government district, Enugu State, into the Igbo family of Chukwuma Jeremiah Ezeohagwu and Marceline Uzoma Ezeohagwu. He completed his basic education in 1983 at St Mary’s Primary School, Ipetu-Ijesa, Osun State; and his Secondary School education (1989) in the Prestigious Ipetu-Ijesa Grammar School, Ipetu-Ijesa, Osun State, where he was the Senior Prefect (boy). Ben Ezeohagwu attended Obafemi Awolowo University (UNIFECS), Ile-Ife, Osun State, where he studied Graphology and graduated with Higher Diploma (Distinction) in 1999. He later did a BSc (First-Class) and an MSc in Graphopsychology at the British American University, Porto Novo, Republic of Benin between 2006 and 2007 respectively. He thereafter enrolled for his Ph.D. in Graphopsychology at British American University and graduated in 2010 as the first-rate Scholar winning several awards and subsequently promoted and employed as a full-bright Professor a few years later.

Before he established African American University in the late 2018 in Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, Ben Ezeohagwu had worked in a number of Universities as a Pioneer staff, Head of Departments and subsequently Dean of Faculties in Ifangni, Plateau and Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, respectively at different times, for example: Poma International Business University, Ifangni, Plateau, Republic Of Benin, as a full-time staff and Professor; Edexcel University, Ifangni, Plateau, Republic of Benin, as a full-time Staff and Professor; Courage University, Chacla, Avrankou, Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, as a Visiting Professor; Ultimate University, Adjatti, Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, as Visiting Professor; British American University, Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, as a Dean and Professor; St Louis African University, Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, as a consultant Partner and Professor; Escae Benin University, Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, as a consultant Partner and Professor, among others.

In the course of working in different Universities as a Pioneer Staff and Dean of Faculties, in Ifangni Plateau and Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin respectively, he has gained tremendous administrative and Scholarly experiences, which cumulated into a formidable force, goodwill and strength…..in the establishment of African American University, Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin, with branch campus offices in Canada and USA.

African American University though a newly established University in Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin has been developing to be one of the most preferred Universities of First-rate in the development of commendable human resources in Africa.

Ben Ezeohagwu holds two PhDs in two different related fields; namely: he holds his first Ph.D. in Graphopsychology from the British American University, Porto-Novo, Republic Benin (2010), and his second Ph.D. in comparative and visual Arts(Psycho-visual Analysis) also from the British American University, Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin (2016). He also holds two Professorships, namely: He’s a Professor of Graphoanalysis(2015), and also a Professor of Comparative and Visual Arts (2018).

Professor Ben Ezeohagwu is the first Nigerian Professor of Graphoananalysis (Institute of
Graphoanalysts, Nigeria, 2014); and Professor Ben Ezeohagwu is also undoubtedly undisputed… the first black African Professor of Graphoanalysis (University of Business Technology, Wilmington, Delaware, USA; Edexcel University, Ifangni, Plateau, Republic of Benin, 2015). Ben Ezeohagwu is the first black African Onigraffiks laureate (2017).

He is a member and fellow of several professional bodies, namely: Master Member, Society of Nigerian Artists (MSNA, Lagos State Chapter); Fellow, Institute of Graphoanalysts, Nigeria (FIGAN); Fellow and National President, Penstrokes Institute of Scientific Handwriting Analysts, Nigeria (FPISHAN, PPISHAN); Fellow, Institute of Business Technology Management, Nigeria (FIBTM); Fellow, Institute of Leadership and Human Resources, Nigeria (FILHR), among others.

In recognition for his legendarily commendable achievements and innovatively scholarly impressive contributions to Nigeria in the fields of Graphoanalysis, and Comparative Psychovisual Analysis (in particular, Ben Ezeohagwu was listed in BLERF’S WHO’S WHO IN NIGERIA ONLINE (2018), among several other local and international awards and prizes.
