NOA enjoins youths to be entrepreneurs, embrace peace

On Friday, August 28, 2020, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has enjoined youths to be entrepreneurs and imbibe the spirit of peaceful co-existence and self-discipline.

Mallam Ali Audu, the Director NOA Yobe State made the call on Friday in Damaturu while receiving members of Youth Initiative for Sustainable Development (YISD) who paid him a courtesy visit.

Audu urged youths to imbibe the spirit of peaceful co-existence, self- discipline and to foster respect for the rule of law and constituted authority.

He also urged them to engage in skills acquisitions and entrepreneurship skills after their formal education by taking advantage of all the skills acquisition and empowerment programs provided by the government.

The Director commended their efforts and foresight in enlightening people on COVID-19 preventive measures and advocacy against rape cases in the state.

He further assured them that the agency would work closely with them.

Earlier in his remarks, Ibrahim Mohammed, the YISD State Coordinator said the advocacy visit was to create and strengthen the existing relationship between NOA and YISD.

He commended NOA on its timely enlightenment campaign on dangers of COVID-19 pandemic, measles vaccination and other issues of national interest.
