At least 22 secondary school students have been killed after a truck and a school bus were involved in an accident in Kano, North Western Nigeria.
Police in Kano confirmed the incident which occurred at about 11.00 a.m. local time.
The students were on an excursion to Bauchi state.
A witness, Tella Maiunguwa, said the bus collided with the truck while both tried to avoid a pothole at Samia Uku village.
