A 25yr old decomposing body was found in Idumu Esi Community, Ubulu-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.
In a report by Daily Independent, the deceased who was identified as Miss joy Ifechukwude was raped and later strangled to death by her assaulters.
The body was discovered naked by the Community Vigilante 100 meters from her residence, and now deposited in CMS Mortuary by the Police and Vigilante.
Elder Elezear Ashine, the Diokpa of the community, revealed that the deceased went missing when she was sent to fetch firewood on the Eke Market day on 11 March 2021.
“As a community, we are completely devastated by this dastardly act and are therefore demanding urgent justice for this innocent daughter and her widow mother,” he said
He also pleaded with the government and security agencies to apprehend all those involved and bring them to justice.
