To mark his two years anniversary in office, Borno state Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum inaugurates Health Centres, Technical College, he also Inspects the completion of 500 Houses in Chibok, Askira and Damboa local governments of the state.
On October 1, 2018, Babagana won the gubernatorial primaries of the All-Progressive Congress for Borno State, he was elected to the Office of the Governor of Borno State at the 2019 Borno gubernatorial election with 1175440 votes.
Governor Babagana Zulum who commissioned a standard government Technical College and a primary healthcare centre in Mbalala village of Chibok Local Government area was on a tour of the southern part of the state.
Borno State has been the epicentre of the Boko Haram crisis in northeast Nigeria, with so many displaced persons and plenty of homes destroyed.
On Sunday, the governor departed Maiduguri, after passing a night in Chibok, where he later commissioned the remodelled Government Secondary School, Chibok. He proceeded to Damboa on Monday and supervised the distribution of food and social protection cash to displaced families on Tuesday.
During his tour to mark the activities of his two years in office, the governor also inaugurates the college of health centre in Mbalala part of Chibok local government of the state.
After which he moved to Askira town in Askira-Uba Local Government area to pass the night.
While in Damboa on Tuesday, the Governor assessed the ongoing construction of 500 low-cost houses that would be used for the resettlement of some families displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency in the state.
The state government had earlier constructed 20 classrooms at the Government Technical College, the governor also went to observe the project.
While in Damboa, he stopped at the Damboa police divisional headquarters and police personnel quarters, which was recently rehabilitated by the state government.,
Borno state commissioner of works, Arch. Yerima Saleh, updated the governor when he went to inspect the construction of the Damboa- Chibok Road, which has already reached 75% completion stage.
During the tour, the governor was accompanied by some top government officials and party stakeholders, some of whose constituencies have been visited by the governor during the tour, they are; Senator representing Southern Borno, Muhammad Ali Ndume, state chairman of APC Ali Bukar Dalori and members of House of Representatives, Usman Jaha and Dr Haruna Mshelia.
In a similar development, Prof. Babagana Zulum had on Wednesday commissioned two schools and a primary healthcare centre in Askira Uba local government area of the state, a local government that has also been ravaged by the Boko haram insurgency.
The schools were a Comprehensive Junior Secondary School in Yamirali and Government Secondary School in Rumirgo, both in Askira Uba Local Government Area.
Zulum also inaugurated a 50-bed capacity Primary Health Centre in Wamdio also in Askira Uba Local Government Area to increase access to public medical services.
To show their appreciation to the governor for all the wonderful work he has been doing in the state. The people of Askira-Uba presented some traditional gift items to the governor, which were joint efforts from the members of the community through the District Head of Wamdio, they commended and prayed for the Governor.
