Buni donates Toyota Bus to NUJ Yobe state council

As part of efforts to ensure a conducive working environment for working Journalists in Yobe State, Governor Mai Mala Buni has on Friday donated a brand new Toyota Hiace utility Bus to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Yobe Council.

Presenting the car key and documents to the Council Chairman, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Baba Malam Wali commended the Journalists for bringing up issues from the grassroots for considerations.

In his vote of thanks, Rajab Mohammed, Chairman NUJ Yobe Council thanked Governor Mai Mala Buni for the support and cooperation to the working Journalists in the state.

He said, “Governor Mai Mala Buni is the most media-friendly Governor in Nigeria, one interesting thing about him is that he positively responds to the media criticism. He has always considered the press as his partners in progress because we come up with issues affecting the grassroots which he acts immediately”.

Rajab Muhammad assured that the members of the NUJ Council will continue to discharge their social responsibilities professionally in accordance with the ethics of the profession.

“We will continue to discharge our duties in line with the professional calling, training of our members has been our topmost priority”. Rajab added.
