Gov. Bello pays tribute to Niger educationist, late Hajiya Jummai Agwai

Niger State Governor and Chairman North Central States Governors’Forum (NCSGF), Abubakar Sani Bello has paid glowing tribute to one of the state’s most remarkable educationist, Hajiya Jummai M. Agwai, who died on Friday, January 28, at the age of 72.

In a press statement signed by Mary Noel-Berje, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, Governor Bello said the state has indeed lost yet another foremost educationist who is responsible for the upbringing of many generations of students while she was Principal of Hill-Top Model School, Minna.

He described the deceased as a phenomenal mother, disciplinarian and a visionary school administrator who has molded many men and women to greatness.

Governor Sani Bello noted how the deceased invested most of her time and energy in ensuring the upbringing of younger generations, while acknowledging her immense contributions in improving the standard and status of education in the state.

“Late Hajiya Jummai Agwai lived an impactful years, in and out of service. She dedicated her life in service to humanity and has left a void that will surely take time to fill. We’ll miss her greatly, but we are grateful to Allah for a life well spent”, he stated.

The Governor prayed that Almighty Allah forgives Hajiya Jummai Agwai’s shortcomings, grant her Jannatul Firdausi and the family the fortitude to bear the huge loss.

Widely acclaimed as the matriarchal Principal of Hill-Top Model School, Minna, late Hajiya Jummai Agwai died at an Abuja hospital after a brief illness.

Late Hajiya Jummai Agwai was a one-time Acting Chairman of the State Fiscal Responsibility Commission.
