APC youth hails Buni, endorses Al-Makura for Chairmanship

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has been commended for his leadership style in both the state and the All Progressive Congress, (APC) respectively.

Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Youths Progressive Forum (APYF), Alhaji Ukkasha Hamza Rahama during a press conference in Maiduguri, Borno State said, “The decision reached at the National Executive Council of the party, under the able and dynamic leadership of Mai Mala Buni, National Chairman, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) and Yobe State Governor for zoning the position of National Chairman to the North Central.

“It is in the light of the above that, I wish to create congratulate our party on the successful conduct of congresses from the ward, local government and States level”.

“Nigerians, most especially the Members of our great party are anticipating high with their ears widely opened not for the convention date and venue but who may emerge after remain a subject of great concerns”. He said.

The AYPF stated that the National Convention will be a great opportunity to strengthen and institutionalize internal democratic processes as a panacea of rebuilding the party towards the phase of Nigerian 2023 anticipated National elections”.

He said that before the National convention, it is a tradition that aspirants would first declare interest vying for one seat or the other, zoned or micro zoned to their respective constituency.

Ukasha said, “Senator Umar Tanko Al-Makura having been one of the nation’s respected nationalists alive, is coming at the time the ruling party needs him most because of his long good track records in Governance as a former Governor and now Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

He assured that Nigerians as a whole and the ruling APC, in particular, would witness a tremendous and dynamic change for positive and accelerated political development if he emerged as the National Chairman.

Ukkasha Rahama stressed that, “His wealth of experience in Politics and Governance in Nigeria earned him the Status of a Political General as many called him in his State of Nasarawa and the nation as a whole”.

According to him, “Life is the best teacher and it is no doubt that Almakura’s Journey to greatness has thought him countless lessons that pages cannot contain. He was Youth leader of NPN, a former Secretary of NRC, a founding member of APC from the merger level through CPC as a Serving Governor of Nasarawa State”.

“His courageous stand to propagate the needs to support the emergence of the new era of leadership in Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari is the reason why currently he remains the only option to revive the ruling All Progressive Congress after our National Convention”, he added.

The APYF concluded that, “We shall by this note, want to appeal to the Party delegates and the critical Stakeholders to ensure that our party get the best on February 26th and the best is the Former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura.
