Adamawa Court sends man to jail for stealing maltina drink
Nafiu Sabe, a middle-aged man from Adamawa, has been handed a six-month jail sentence after being found guilty of stealing six cartons of Maltina from the Jimeta Ultra-modern Market in Yola.
The conviction and subsequent sentence were delivered by the Jail Delivery Committee, led by Chief Judge Hon. Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman. Nafiu voluntarily confessed to the theft, which led to his arrest and subsequent detention.

The committee visited the Jimeta Correctional Centre, where Nafiu was remanded, to deliver the verdict.
In his confession, Nafiu admitted to the crime and expressed remorse for his actions, acknowledging that he stole the Maltina from the market in August 2023.
