Ari donates crime-fighting equipment to vigilante group in Kurgwi

Following the influx of bandits ravaging some parts of Pandam forest in Plateau state, with incessant attacks in Quaanpan Local Government Council leading to the loss of lives and disruption of farming activities in the area, the Director-General, Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Sir Joseph Ari, has donated motorcycles and essential security gadgets to Vigilante Groups in Kurgwi town.

According to him, the gesture is his contribution to secure communities within Quaan Pan Local Government Area as bandits have made the town a nightmare for the people.

The ITF DG appealed to the security personnel to fish out bad eggs and punish them so as to serve as a deterrent to other criminal elements in the community.

Spokesman of ITF Director, Alhaji Isa Musa, who is also the former APC Chairman of Quaan-Pan LGA disclosed that the donation was done on behalf of Sir Joseph Ari who is a leader with much love and care for vulnerable people.

He maintained that the gesture is timely and would go a long way in boosting the well-being of security agents and their operations within the community.

The former APC chairman who was full of appreciation hoped that the donation would help in tracking down criminals and their activities.

He commended the DG for what he has been doing to help and support people at the grassroots and urged other high ranking citizens to emulate the worthy gesture.

The Chairman, Vigilante group of Kurgwi, Ibrahim Shata commended and appreciated the ITF DG, and his efforts in fighting crime, Shata assured that the items will be deployed appropriately to eradicate insecurity in the area.

The occasion was witnessed by youth leaders of various groups, the Vigilante, the Community Police, and many dignitaries of the area.
