City’s quest for a opener was fruitless in the first 45 minutes but the visitors found cause to celebrate after Erling Haaland found the back of the net in the 50th minute making it his 10th of the season for the Citizens.

Their hope for the maximum point was cut short in the 74th minute when Leon Bailey swept his left-footed strike into the top-left corner to level the tally.

Elsewhere, Liverpool Football Club escaped defeat via the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) after Conor Coady sneaked it in the ball into the back of the net but was ruled offside in Saturday’s Merseyside which ended 0-0.

In other matches, Brentford beat Leeds United 5-2, Tottenham Hotspur snatched three points from Fulham 2-1.

Also, Chelsea climbed up to fifth after a deserved 2-1 victory West Ham United at Stamford Bridge. Wolverhampton managed a 1-0 victory over Southampton while Newcastle United and Crystal Palace settled a goalless draw.
