ATBU gets new Vice Chancellor

The Governing Council of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, ATBU Bauchi, has approved the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Hassan Garba as the new Vice-Chancellor of the university.

Pro-chancellor of the university and Chairman, Governing Council, Air Commodore Emmanuel K. Jekada (rtd), made the announcement on Thursday at the end of the council meeting in Bauchi.

He said the process started since February with advertisements and after a thorough screening and interview, Professor Hassan Garba emerged victorious over two others contesting for the post.

He urged the new Vice Chancellor to do his best and carry the university to greater height.

A source in the university said more details will emerge and Professor Hassan is expected to receive a handing over and take over the leadership of the university in no distant time.
