Bandits kill six-year-old twins, seven others in Kaduna

At least nine people, including six-year-old twins, were reportedly killed by bandits in an attack at Ungwan Dakwa village near Dogon Dawa ward in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

While the police authorities have not yet commented on the incident, Honourable Yahaya Birnin Gwari, the House of Assembly member-elect for Birnin Gwari State Constituency, confirmed the attack to News Point Nigeria on Sunday.

According to Gwari, the bandits raided his community around 2 pm on Saturday and immediately opened fire on the innocent residents who were carrying out their daily activities.

Tragically, a mother and her six-year-old twin girls were caught in the crossfire. While the mother survived, the girls lost their lives on the spot.

Several villagers sustained varying degrees of injuries during the attack and were rushed to hospitals in neighbouring Funtua, Katsina State, for treatment.

Meanwhile, many of the villagers fled from their homes out of fear of another assault by the bandits.
