Like every other seasons of the on going television reality show, Big Brother Naija many in the religious circle have expressed their displeasure calling on the Federal Government to suspend the show.

Barely 24 hours after the Arewa Youth Conservative Forum (AYFC) called on the government to ban the show another body, Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), an Islamic rights has joined forces mounting pressure on the government to act.

In an interview on Saturday, with Saturday Punch, MURIC is calling on the government to ban the show just as it suspended the microblogging platform Twitter in June this year.

Professor Ishaq Akintola, Director of MURIC described the show as an “abomination” , an “exhibition of nudity”, and an “invitation to chaos and insecurity” because it allegedly seeks to mislead the youths.

The government on its part is yet to respond, also the organisers, Multichoice Nigeria owners of DSTV are yet to issue any official statement.
