Building Bridges, Building Yobe: Senior liaison officer to Yobe gov partners AIA Foundation for collaborative outreach project

A true progress is never a one person journey. It takes many hands, many minds, and many hearts working in one direction. With this enduring belief, our office proudly engaged a distinguished delegation from Yobe State to attend the TEDxBauchi 2025 Conference, themed “Building Bridges.”

This project was made possible through our partnership with the AIA Foundation, founded by Prof. Ali Abbas, whose commitment to empowering the good people of Yobe State continues to shine like a light guiding travelers through the night.

His support and that of the Foundation remains a strong pillar in our collective mission to uplift the state.

We also appreciate our project partners: LexNova, 001 Design, and Sahel Multi-Links Global Concepts Nig. Ltd., whose contributions strengthened the vision and execution of this outreach. When government, NGOs, and the private sector lock arms, as the governor of Yobe State consistently advocates, policy moves from paper to people and communities become empowered.

Our delegates embodied the rich diversity and talent of Yobe State:
• Medical doctor, Social entrepreneurs, Special Assistants to the Governor of Yobe State and notably, the first female photographer from Yobe State, who marked a historic moment in this mission.

Her journey became a story of inspiration. During the event, she had the rare privilege of meeting Mr Bayo Omoboriowo, the former official photographer to the late President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a world where doors often stay shut too long, he opened his wide—encouraging her, sharing wisdom drawn from the field, and even granting her access to his creative team for mentorship.

Such encounters are the bridges that transform careers, confidence, and communities.

Throughout the conference, our delegates engaged deeply with TEDxBauchi staff, innovators, speakers, and creatives, exchanging ideas on leadership, youth development, innovation, and social progress.

These conversations were not just moments—they were investments. Seeds planted in fertile minds that will return home to spark new initiatives, strengthen institutions, and expand opportunities across Yobe State.

This project fully aligns with the governor’s vision Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON: partnerships must be expanded, and capacity building must be prioritised. When NGOs, private organisations, and government work together, the result is a stronger, more vibrant society.

As we continue to carry this torch, we remain grounded in honesty, lifted by hope, and driven by responsibility. The bridges built in Bauchi will not end there—they will extend into our schools, communities, and institutions, shaping a brighter future for Yobe State.

Muhammad Umar Danfulani affirmed that his office stands fully ready for meaningful partnerships that strengthen community outreach and advance the governor’s vision for a progressive Yobe.

Together, we build. Together, we rise.

Signed
