Yobe state Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni, has charged the Nigerian Army to see the appointment of the new Chief of Army Staff, General Farouk Yahaya, as a challenge to end the security challenges facing the country.
Governor Buni while congratulating the new Chief of Army Staff, said President Buhari has appointed one of the finest officers “this is a challenge to officers and men of the Nigeria army to end the security challenge”.

He said Gen. Farouk Yahaya is very suited to rejuvenate the spirit of the army in the fight against security challenges in the country.
“It is now time to end the security problems confronting the nation.
“This should be a turning point that would end the senseless killing of Nigerians by terrorists, bandits and those hiding under the cover of unidentified gunmen to kill Nigerians,” Buni said.
The governor called for improved synergy among the security forces to succeed in the fight against insecurity in Nigeria.
Governor Buni prayed for the new army chief and the other security chiefs to succeed for peace to reign across Nigeria.
