Chelsea, Arsenal win as Liverpool fail to impress

Also, Arsenal continued with their impressive form beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Liverpool on the other hand failed to impress their fans after being down with two goals within 17 minutes of the first half to visitors, Brighton and Hove Albion – who showed more determination on the pitch.

Roberto Firmino’s brace in the 33rd and 54th minutes could not motivate the Reds to a deserved victory as Brighton’s Leandro Trossard hat-trick denied the Jurgen Klopp’s boys the much needed three points sending them to ninth position.

Elsewhere, Newcastle showed class as they trashed Fulham 4-1 away.
