Dahiru Bauchi’s Deputy, Shiekh Umar Suleman, is dead

The death of Sheikh Umar Suleman has occurred in Unguwan Kanawa, Kaduna.

Khadi Mustapha Suleman, the son of the Islamic Scholar disclosed this on Monday.

“My father, Shiekh Umar Suleman died in the afternoon on Monday, August 9, in Unguwan Kanawa, Kaduna.

“He died at the age of 76 after a brief illness.

“Until his death, he was the deputy to the renowned Islamic Scholar, Shiekh Dahiru Usman Bauchi. He was a community leader and a Teacher”. He said.

Mustapha Suleman said that the late Islamic Scholar is survived by 17 children and many grandchildren.

According to him, the funeral prayer was led by his son and his student, a senior Shari’a Court Judge, Khadi Mustapha Suleman.

He was buried by 3:15 pm at Sheikh Muhammad Labar Memorial School in Unguwan Kanawa Kaduna.

Many Islamic scholars and people from within and around the state attended the burial.
