DSS arrests 3 over assault on officers during Lagos Assembly crisis
The Department of State Services (DSS) has taken three individuals into custody for allegedly attacking its operatives during the unrest at the Lagos State House of Assembly on February 18.
The arrests followed a request by the Lagos Assembly for heightened security at the complex, as outlined in a letter dated February 14, 2025, and signed by the acting Clerk, A.T.B. Ottun.
According to the letter, referenced LSHA/FAD/0/7554/323, the DSS was directed to enforce strict access control at the Assembly complex from February 15 until further notice.

The acting Clerk noted that the impeached Speaker of the House had planned to return to office on February 18, describing the move as a potential.
