EFCC declares oil mogul Bolaji Akinduro wanted for alleged fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Bolaji Henry Akinduro, a prominent oil mogul, wanted in connection with allegations of fraud. Akinduro, aged 51 and the executive chairman of Total Grace Oil and Gas Investment Limited, is facing accusations of obtaining money under false pretenses and committing theft by conversion.

In an official statement, the EFCC appealed to the public for any information regarding Akinduro’s current location. His last known address is listed as 272 Patience Coker Street, Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island, Lagos State. The EFCC has emphasized the need for public assistance in tracking Akinduro down, providing a contact number, an email address, and advising anyone with relevant information to reach out to its offices in various cities, including Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, and Abuja. Additionally, the EFCC encourages contacting local police stations or other security agencies.

As an indigene of Ondo State, Akinduro is well-known in the oil and gas sector, which has drawn significant attention to the allegations. This move by the EFCC follows a series of similar actions aimed at addressing corruption and economic crimes in Nigeria.

The agency continues to pursue individuals involved in financial malpractices, urging those with useful information on cases of economic crimes to come forward.
