FG warns Nigerians travelling to UK amid rising violent protests
The Federal Government has issued a warning to Nigerian citizens planning to travel to the United Kingdom, advising them to be cautious due to heightened risks of violence following the recent killing of three young girls at a concert.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, signed by its spokesperson, Amb. Eche Abu-Obe, highlighted the escalating violence, which has included attacks on law enforcement and damage to infrastructure.
Nigerians are advised to avoid political processions, protests, rallies, and large gatherings, and to remain vigilant and self-aware at all times.

Recent demonstrations by far-right and other groups in the UK have been significant and sometimes unruly. The tragic deaths have fueled an anti-immigration narrative, particularly targeting Muslim immigrants and people of colour.
In a northern English town, anti-Muslim protesters clashed with police following the stabbing incident at a Taylor Swift-themed event, which left three girls dead and five children critically wounded.
Authorities confirmed the attack was not linked to terrorism and that the suspect was born in the UK.
