The Black Stars found the back of the net twice before the break boosting their confidence after their previous defeat by Portugal last week.

Mohammed Salisu broke the deadlock in the 24th minute when Jordan Ayew sends a dangerous cross into the box and South Korea fail to clear the lines the number four (4) was quick to react and firing home with his left foot to make it 1-0.

Their ball possession paid off ten minutes later with another dangerous cross from Ayew to the far post and Mohammed Kudus glances the ball past Seung-gyu to double the lead.

The intensity increased after the break which saw South Korea pulling one back courtesy Cho Gue-sung in the 58th minute and three minutes later Ghana were caught off guard conceding another goal.

Knowing what was at stake, the Black Stars used every form of skills required as they got their third goal from Kudus to seal the victory in the 68th minutes.

Ghana are tentatively sharing the same three points with Portugal who have a duel with Uruguay later in the day.

Elsewhere, Cameroon drew 3-3 with Serbia as hope for the next round is still there.
