Grain prices in Dambatta market, Kano State, on Wednesday 23rd July, 2025, have plummeted, bringing much-needed relief to residents. According to Dambatta Market Secretary Ibrahim Aminu Ilu, prices of staples like white beans, soya beans, millet, and cassava dropped significantly this week.
A bag of maize (Masara) is currently being sold between ₦48,000 to ₦50,000, bag of millet (Gero) currently ₦51,000 to ₦52,000.

The price of white beans dropped to ₦88,000 from ₦90,000, while soya beans currently price is ₦85,000.

The price of wheat (Alkama) is ₦75,000 per bag, while cassava is ₦35,000 per bag.
