Gas explosion rocks Kano’s Rjiyar Zaki area

An explosion occurred this afternoon at AS Marmaro Gas Station in Rijiyar Zaki, Kano. Eyewitnesses report that multiple gas cylinders exploded with the intensity of bomb blasts, causing widespread panic and destruction.

A gas delivery vehicle had reportedly arrived to offload when the explosion happened. The resulting inferno engulfed several nearby vehicles and buildings, reducing them to rubble.

As of now, the exact number of casualties and the full extent of damages remain unconfirmed. Neither the police nor the fire service has issued an official statement, but sources say the situation is currently under control.
