Gov. Buni meets Defence Minister to bolster security in Yobe State

Today, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Honourable Mai Mala Buni, met with the Minister of State for Defence, Alhaji Bello Mattawale, in Abuja to discuss ways to strengthen security in the state.

Governor Buni acknowledged the significant improvement in security across Yobe State but emphasized the need to remain proactive in handling security challenges.

He said: “There is tremendous and stable security in Yobe state now however, we will not relax and be taken by any surprise.

“We will keep closely in touch with all security agencies to strategize on areas of improvement to enhance peace and security in Yobe state.

“I am happy and satisfied with the assurance given by the Honourable Minister to improve security to lives and property across the state”.

He also reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to supporting the state’s security agencies.

“I also call on the people to support the security agencies with timely and useful information on suspicious persons and movements in their domains”, the Governor added.

In response, the Minister assured that the Federal government would explore all available opportunities to safeguard the lives and property of Nigerians.

He commended Governor Buni for his proactive approach to ensuring security in Yobe State.
