Gov. Yahaya, other dignitaries attend Zulum’s son’s wedding in Maiduguri

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, was earlier today in Maiduguri, Borno State where he witnessed the wedding fatiha of Muhammad Babagana Umara, son of Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Director-General Press Affairs, Gombe State.
According to the statement, the Vice President Kashim Shettima, stood as Waliy (guardian) for Ummi Kaltum, the bride and entrusted her into the hands of the groom’s Wakil (representative), former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR during the wedding fatiha which took place at the Shehu of Borno’s Palace.

The event attracted top-notch political and business leaders, traditional rulers and Islamic clerics.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who is the Chairman of Northern States Governors’ Forum, had in a message of felicitation, congratulated the father of the groom, Governor Babagana Zulum and that of the bride, Alhaji Abubakar Kolo, as well as the new couple for Allah’s blessings and grace to witness this auspicious occasion, praying Almighty Allah to bless the marriage.
He admonished the couple to put Almighty Allah first in their affairs, build their marriage on trust, patience and respect to one another as well as remain prayerful at all the time.
