Governor Wike awards scholarships to 55 medical students of Rivers State university

The Rivers State Government has offered full scholarship to 55 Medical students admitted to the college of medical sciences in the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.

Governor Nyesom Wike disclosed this during the foundation laying ceremony for the construction of the Faculty of College of Medical Sciences in the university.

He directed the university to refund all the monies paid by the awardees, adding that their bills should be sent to the government.

He further mandated the Rivers State University to commence construction work on the building that will house the School of Nursing within the premises where the Faculty of Medical Sciences is situated.

Wike stressed that his government is committed to investing heavily in educating the youths of the State.
