Governor Zulum relocates Borno Govt House to Auno to avert Boko Haram attacks

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum is setting up office at Auno village for a temporary relocation in order to avert future occurrences of attacks on the community by Boko Haram terrorists.

Auno, a small town in Konduga Local Government Area of the State and situated along Maiduguri-Damaturu Highway, had been repeatedly attacked by Boko Haram insurgents.

Auno neighbours populated communities of Njimtilo, Jakana, Mainok as well as towns of Benesheikh and Ngamdu further off.

In February, Auno, came under heavy attack by Boko Haram leading to deaths of 30 passengers, a carnage that attracted a sympathy visit by President Muhammadu Buhari to Borno state.
