Group gives kudos to President Buhari, Bogoro for revamping education

Story from Najib SANI, Bauchi

A youth group called ‘North-East Youths For Peace And Reconciliation Initiative’ (NEYPRI) has commended President Mohammadu Buhari and the executive secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund, (TETFUND) Professor Suleiman Bogoro for revamping education and educational institutions in the nation.

The chairman of the group, Alhaji Yakubu Abubakar, and secretary, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Made, made the commendation at a press conference in Bauchi where they said that youth in the northeast region, where Bogoro comes from, are proud of his stewardship at TETFUND.

“We commend Mr President for appointing one of our own in the person of Suleiman Bogoro as the Executive Secretary of TETFUND who has proven to be an achiever and reformer of education in the country.

“Bogoro is not new to the job. He was the executive secretary of the Fund from  2014 to date. Under his leadership, TETFUND has sponsored many academics to acquire masters degrees and PhDs in diverse fields.

“The Fund has equipped laboratories, libraries in state and federal universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education nationwide. This is in addition to building classrooms, lecture halls, and other structures”. They claimed.

Butressing their points further, the group claimed that Bogoro sponsored capacity building in 71 Federal and State public universities, 51 federal and state public polytechnics, and the 61 federal and state colleges of education.

The group, therefore, called on the president to continue to appoint and retain technocrats in his government that will assist him to deliver good governance.
