Gunmen kill many, burn houses in fresh Kaduna attack

Bandits in separate attacks invaded two villages of Yagbak and Ungwan Ruhugo  in the Ayap Chiefdom of the Zango- Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

A statement from the Kaduna state government simply indicated that lives were lost, but residents claimed no fewer than 10 persons were killed during the attack on one of the villages.

According to the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, some people were killed while houses were razed in attacks on two locations of Yagbak and Ungwan Ruhugo in Zango-Kataf.

He revealed that the state governor had directed the State Emergency Management Agency to carry out an assessment and provide relief materials to the affected communities.

The statement titled, ‘Lives lost, houses burnt in attack in Zangon Kataf LGA’, read, “The military and police authorities have informed the Kaduna State Government of attacks in two locations, Yagbak and Ungwan Ruhugo, in Zangon Kataf LGA.”
