Hafsatu Gimba Memorial School closes first term, urges pupils to uphold discipline during holiday

Hafsatu Gimba Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Potiskum, Yobe State, on Friday officially concluded its first-term academic activities, marking the start of a three weeks holiday for its pupils.

Addressing the children during the closing session, the Headmaster, Malam Muhammad Ibrahim Jaji, advised them to remain obedient and respectful to their parents throughout the break. He encouraged the pupils to uphold good morals, maintain discipline, and continue to reflect the values of the school both at home and within the community.

According to the school’s academic calendar, the holiday will last for three weeks, with classes scheduled to resume on January 5, 2026.

Earlier in the programme, the pupils rendered the Nigerian national anthem with remarkable coordination. This was followed by a delightful performance of the school anthem by Malama Fatima Ali Lawan, which captivated everyone present.

The Hafsatu Gimba Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Potiskum was built and commissioned in August 2024 by veteran journalist, Dr Hassan Gimba, anipr, the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Neptune Prime, in memory of his late mother, Hajiya Hafsatu Gimba Ahmed.
