Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

Residents of Isa, Local Government Area of Sokoto State have gone on a rampage by attacking the House of Sokoto State Commissioner for Internal Security, Rtd. Colonel Garba Moyi, burning it to ashes.

The aggrieved villagers also burnt expensive vehicles and properties belonging to the Rtd. Colonel, to show their anger over how the Sokoto State Government has allowed bandits to ravage the area.

At the time of filing this report, reliable sources from the area that spoke to our correspondent in Kano, have expressed serious fear that if the state government did not handle the incident with care, other villagers will start attacking government officials by taking the law into their hands.

Two weeks ago, residents of Tangaza, also in Sokoto State, rounded up bandits that attacked the area and burnt 6 of them to ashes. The Tambuwal administration in Sokoto State is continuing to receive condemnation from the masses, describing it as a government that cannot protect them.
