I almost committed suicide after my stunted growth diagnosis – Actor Chinedu Ikedieze

In a heartfelt interview with media personality Chude, popular Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze shared his personal journey of battling with low self-esteem and thoughts of suicide after being diagnosed with stunted growth by a doctor.

The actor bravely opened up about the immense emotional turmoil he faced upon learning about his condition.

“I almost committed suicide when a doctor told my mom that I was suffering from stunted growth,” Ikedieze confided during the interview.

He revealed that at one point, the weight of his self-esteem issues was so heavy that he contemplated jumping off the third mainland bridge. However, fate had a different plan for him.

It was during this challenging period that Ikedieze crossed paths with his colleague, Osita Iheme. Together, they both harbored a deep determination to thrive as movie partners in the Nollywood industry.

Despite the unusual attention they received due to their heights, their shared determination pushed them toward success.

“I met my partner, Osita, and people used to look at us in the usual way because of our heights, but we had the determination to be successful together in Nollywood, and everything worked out for us,” Ikedieze shared during the interview.

Through his incredible talent and resilience, Chinedu Ikedieze has become a celebrated figure among his peers in the Nollywood movie industry. His story serves as a testament to the power of determination and the ability to overcome even the darkest moments.
