I regret the failure of my two marriages – Kannywood actress, Sadiya Kabala

Sadiya Kabala is today one of Kannywood’s successful actresses. She is also unarguably one of the prettiest. Before she started acting, she was married to her heartthrob in Jos but after a while, the marriage packed up and Sadiya returned to her family in Kaduna.

After the breakup, she pulled herself together and decided to join the famous Kannywood film industry. A rumour that she was dating the Kano state Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje halted her aspiration of becoming a leading actress in the industry. The rumour has since been dispelled and an apology tendered to the Kano first lady.

After her life was threatened by some unknown persons, she quickly abandoned acting and left Kano to live with her parents in Kaduna. Very soon, people started seeking her hand in marriage again.

Sadiya did not waste any time and got married to somebody in Abuja but the marriage was not successful. They broke up and again, she returned to her parents in Kaduna.

Recently, in an interview with BBC Hausa Service, she admits that, as a young lady, she regrets the failure of her two marriages but declined to say whether she was the one at fault or not. She said she is not in a hurry to go back to acting as she is already doing well outside the industry modelling and doing commercials.

She advises young ladies aspiring to get married to take things easy. “When I look back, I am full of regret but there are things in one’s life that you cannot avoid; very soon I will decide on what to do with my life again”.
