In Praise of Galloway’s decision, by Na-Allah Mohammed Zagga
George Galloway, a British advocate for Palestinian struggle for independence, has announced that he is quitting the role of defending the Arabs against Western imperialist agenda and Israel’s aggression and occupation of Palestinian lands.
Frustrated by the role Arab leaders in the western agenda to undermine their own people and interests, including the right of Palestinians to self-determination, Mr. Galloway said he is tired of fighting for people who don’t know what they are doing.
He is right. It is a waste of time fighting for people who don’t care about their own future or survival. Arab disunity is their main enemy. The takeover of Syria by terrorists could not have happened without the support of Turkey and Sunni Arab leaders. Sectarian division is their main enemy. Why shouldn’t Israel celebrate the fall of Assad? Israel is only exploiting the sectarian divisions among the Muslims of the Middle East. Don’t blame Israel for celebrating the divisions among Arab and Muslim nations.

Without these divisions, western countries could not have succeeded in destablising Iraq, Libya and Syria. Arab countries must realise that you cannot be strong by being a puppet. Western countries don’t love other countries; they only pretend to love you if you are an asset to their own hegemonic agenda.
In Nigeria, Izala members are celebrating the fall of Assad because he is a Shiite minority member.
In fact, they misleadingly tell their ignorant followers that Iran is an agent of Israel to undermine Islam. If you are naive, you can easily swallow any nonsense. How can Iran which is funding Hamas and Hezbollah be a stooge of Israel? If that is the case, why did Israel allow or orchestrate the fall of Assad alongside Turkey?
The Middle East crisis is like a crab in the bucket case. When your fate is tied up to the fate of others, or when your fate depends on collective effort for survival, it is fatal delusion to imagine that you can go it alone. Arab unity is fatal to western hegemonic agenda. So, the west must encourage division in order to dominate and control. They hate nationalist Arab leaders who refuse to be puppets; So, they work hard to remove them from power by any means. Western leaders are not genuinely concerned about democracy, human rights and freedom. The militants that overthrew Assad were once designated “terrorists” by the United States. These ISIS and Al-Qaeda members are now heroes in the eyes of the United States for helping to overthrow Assad, an Iranian ally.
I commend Galloway for stepping down from the role of supporting people who don’t know what they are doing. Arabs are their own worst enemies. If you are gullible enough to allow outsiders to use you as stooges, then don’t blame Israel for the consequences of your own naivety. Arab division is strategically good for Israel’s survival. Who doesn’t celebrate the disunity of their own enemies? If the Arabs cannot get their act together, they should not blame Israel for their own naivety. Divided people are always easily conquered. History and posterity will be kind to Galloway. No one should blame him for quitting the fight. It is not worth it.
