IPOB/ESN commander ordered our killing but the executor only flogged us – ABS station attack survivor

A staff of the recently attacked Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Awada, Onitsha has narrated how staff members of the station escaped death from the gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN)/ the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that visited them in the early hours of Monday.

One of the survivors of the deadly attack while speaking to newsmen said that one of the gunmen ordered another to kill everyone present on the premises of the station but the gunman that received the signal refused but flogged them mercilessly.

He said the studio of Anambra State Broadcasting Service (ABS) was torched while two vehicles were affected but no life was lost in the attack.

The spokesperson of the Police in Anambra State, Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the sad incident described the case as arson.

He noted that the prompt response from the Police Division prevented the gunmen from wreaking havoc on the lives and property of the people in the station.

The insecurity in Anambra State is taking a dangerous dimension over the past few days following the rise of coordinated attacks and killing of people unjustly by the agents of darkness.
