ISWAP terrorists ban farmers, fishermen from entering Borno LG
The Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) has issued a ban on farmers, fishermen, and herders within Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.
A source told Daily Trust that the ban extends to areas such as Katikime, Bulungahe, Kutukungunla, Chikun Gudu, Tumbumma, Guma Kura, Guma Gana, and New Marte.
ISWAP alleges that these individuals have been spying on their activities for the Nigerian military and has threatened to eliminate anyone found in these areas.

This announcement comes after the terrorist group experienced significant losses due to ongoing airstrikes carried out by the Nigerian military in identified hideouts in Marte.
The airstrikes have resulted in the elimination of top ISWAP commanders, and numerous foot soldiers, as well as the destruction of their logistics, vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) factory, and vehicles.
The continuous airstrikes have prevented the terrorists from freely operating in their camps and have forced them to relocate.
Some of the airstrikes have taken place in Grazah and Wa-Jahode, on the outskirts of the Mandara Mountain, resulting in the successful elimination of over 100 terrorists.
At the river banks of Jibularam and Sabon Tumbum, specific airstrikes conducted by the NAF have led to the elimination of two ISWAP Commanders, Amir Malam Bello, and Amir Malam Musa Modu, along with a significant number of their fighters.
Additional airstrikes in Kwalaram, Bukar Mairam, Abbaganaram, and Yarwa Kura have resulted in the elimination of several fighters, while others have been forced to flee with injuries.
It is worth noting that the NAF Command in Borno recently deployed its firepower when intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations identified a gathering of Boko Haram terrorists in Amchille, Geizuwa.
The subsequent night strike resulted in the elimination of several fighters and the destruction of their vehicle.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency analyst, further corroborates these reports, stating that another significant airstrike targeted locations in Andakar, Musari, and Klabariya in Marte LGA.
This attack specifically targeted ISWAP terrorists who were attempting to flee from Kwalaram and Bukar.
