Kano Islamiyya teacher brutalises Almajiri pupil for not bringing food home (Video)

Story from Shafa’atu DAUDA, Kano

An Islamiyya school teacher in Kano State has allegedly brutalized his 8-year-old almajiri student, Muhammad Garba, for not bringing food home from his begging proceeds.

The almajiri student told newsmen during an interview that he is an indigene of Bauchi State and said his teacher mercilessly beats any student who misses to bring enough food home after a long day of begging.

In a gory video making rounds on the media, the 8-year-old boy can be seen with several injuries inflicted by the teacher all over his body.

However, when asked if he wants to return back to his state of origin in Bauchi or to his school teacher, the little boy said he would rather be left on his own to lead an entirely different life.
