Kidnapped Benue State Commissioner Matthew Abo regains freedom
The Benue State Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Mathew Abo, has been successfully rescued from his abduction.
The incident occurred when armed gunmen stormed his residence in Zaki-Biam on Sunday. Fortunately, Abo has now been safely reunited with his family in the early hours of Thursday, around 1:00am.

Although details regarding his release remain unclear, sources close to the family did not state whether any ransom was paid before his release.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Catherine Anene, could not be reached as of the time of filing this report.
