Lady in Kano stabs friend to death for allegedly snatching boyfriend

Kano State Hisbah command has arrested one Humaira of Medile quarters in Kano State for stabbing her friend to death over a boyfriend.

Medile quarters was thrown into confusion when officials of Kano State Hisbah command stormed the area to arrest Humaira and told them that the previous day a lady in the area was said to have stabbed her friend to death when they had a quarrel over a boyfriend that is dating both of them secretly.

When Humaira discovered that her friend Bahijja Garba Abubakar was going out with her boyfriend she decided to confront her and in the process, they started fighting, Humaira went to her friend’s house with a knife stabbed her during the fight on the neck and she collapsed and later died.

People of Medile quarters that spoke to our correspondent were shocked when they were told that Humaira and Bahijja who have been friends for long, had a serious quarrel that led to the killing of Bahijja Abubakar.

At the time of filing this report, Kano Hisbah are rounding up their investigation so that they can forward the matter to Kano Police Command for prosecution.

Recently the cases of murder because of boyfriends is common among young men and women in Kano.
