MaMotebang Mopeli elected deputy chairperson of South African Queens Council

The Morena E Moholo and the Bakoena Royal Council of South Africa have announced the election of Mofumahali Neo MaMotebang Mopeli as the deputy chairperson of the South African Queens Council, a newly constituted structure consisting of all the 9 Queens of the Kingships/PLTs in South Africa.

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Mr. Velenkosini Hlabisa concluded a two-day meeting with the newly established South African Queens Council.

The Council is a landmark initiative designed to enhance the role of Queens in promoting social cohesion, leading special projects, and driving socio-economic development within traditional communities.

The newly established Council constituted by Queens announced its leadership as follows:

1. Chairperson: Queen Tina Madosini Ndamase
2. Deputy Chairperson: Queen Neo MaMotebang Mopeli
3. Secretary: Queen Lolita Hokwana Matanzima

The statement heartily wishes Mofumahali and all other queens the best in their new roles.
