Man arrested for abducting, defiling 13-year-old girl with ‘touch and follow’ charms
A 30-year-old man identified as Reuben Temitope has been arrested and charged for abducting a 13-year-old girl and sexually assaulting her.
The incident occurred in the Alagbado area of Lagos State, where Temitope resides.
According to the Police, the suspect went to the victim’s house at Bankole Olarewaju off gas line Dalemo, Alakuko area of the state, hypnotized her with charms and took her to his house, where he kept her for several days without the knowledge of her parents.
While the victim was in his house, the parents were searching for her until he allowed her to go. When she got back to her house, she narrated what happened to her parents and how the suspect touched her, she became unconscious and followed him.

The matter was reported to the Police at Alakuko Division. During interrogation, the police found him guilty of abduction and statutory rape.
The case was brought before the Ogba Magistrate Court, but the court did not take Temitope’s plea due to a motion moved by the prosecutor requesting legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The presiding magistrate, Mrs E. Kubenije, ordered Temitope’s remand in custody at the correctional centre in Kirikiri town until the DPP’s advice is received.
The case was adjourned until January 16, 2024, for mention to determine whether the matter will be transferred to the High Court based on jurisdiction or not after receiving the DPP’s advice.
