Man beaten to death in Lagos for sleeping With boss wife
A young man from Plateau State, identified as Nengak, has reportedly been beaten to death in Lagos after he was accused of having an affair with his employer’s wife.
The incident has sparked grief and widespread calls for justice as loved ones raise concerns about the handling of his case and the silence surrounding his death.
According to his close friend, Bitrus Idi, the deceased worked as both a security guard and domestic aide for a wealthy family in Victoria Garden City (VGC), Lagos. Although hired primarily as a guard, Idi said Nengak handled nearly all domestic chores—cooking, washing cars, cleaning, and escorting the children to school.
Describing him as “young, strong, and extremely hardworking,” Idi claimed that the employer frequently travelled abroad, leaving his wife alone at home for extended periods.
“From what I heard, madam developed interest in him,” he said. “She started calling him to her room, and before long, they were already involved. It continued for months.”

The employer allegedly became suspicious after hearing rumours of the affair and subsequently installed CCTV cameras around the home. On the day of the attack, he reportedly pretended to travel but returned unexpectedly with a group of men believed to be street boys.
Idi alleges that Nengak was found in the bedroom and brutally beaten until he died.
He also revealed that the victim’s body has remained in the mortuary with no official case filed.
“Police are asking us to pay for autopsy and paperwork. We are helpless,” he lamented.
The tragic death has prompted calls for a full investigation, legal accountability, and stronger protection for domestic workers who often face exploitation and abuse behind closed doors in Nigerian households.
