Man tells court his wife eats 4 times daily as she seeks divorce over hunger

Malam Isma’il Abubakar, an Okada rider, informed a Shari’a court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State on Wednesday that he ensures his wife receives four square meals each day.

Abubakar stated this while addressing his wife Zainab Saleh’s claims that he fails to provide food for her. She also accused him of not respecting her parents.

She expressed that she was finished with their 10-year marriage and sought a divorce.

However, Abubakar requested the court for time to resolve the issues with his wife.

Judge Malam Anas Khalifa instructed Saleh to provide witnesses to support her allegations and ordered both parties to present their parents or guardians by October 2.
