Neptune Prime’s interview with Abu Ibrahim Ramzy, head of Palestinian Community in Nigeria
The head of the Palestinian Community in Nigeria and Palestinian Middle East Analyst, Abu Ibrahim Ramzy, had an exclusive interview during his visit to Neptune Prime on Monday 11th of August, 2025.
Ramzy: Britain invited the Jews, with the settlers, to come and start settling, in Palestine. That is when they declared the state of Israel. Before then, there was no state of Israel. This you have to understand. They were terrorists. And so many genocides happened at that time. No one knew about it because there was no media coverage then. This is what we are facing today.
You cannot call a liberator a terrorist. A liberator is a freedom fighter looking for his liberty and for the freedom of his Nation. International law gives him the support and authority to fight for his freedom with all the means that he has.
The International Law with the Security Council and the United Nations have many resolutions regarding the two-state solution to the Palestinians and Israelis. Although some of the Palestinians do not recognise that law. You cannot condemn any Palestinian fighting for his struggle and his land. You cannot take from an occupant his occupation.
The propaganda in the media of his statement is still an occupation. You want to cover what he is doing. So, by the statement of the Israelis, whoever gives that statement, you cannot take it.
Look at what Benjamin Netanyahu said today. Says he does not want to reoccupy Gaza, but that he wants to free Gaza from Hamas. Does he have the right, even to occupy or to free? Did we ask him for freedom? He is committing genocide. It’s a war crime. He cannot tell us and teach us what international law says. He is wanted because he is a killer.

Yesterday, he killed six Al Jazeera journalists. Why did he kill them? Because he does not want the truth to be spread to the whole world. He wants to kill the voice telling the truth. And he does not want anyone in the world to know what is going on in Gaza today. When the media carries on the babies who are dying from hunger, the mothers who are dying in their sick beds, some of the mothers who are even delivering babies are dying because of hunger. Who’s giving us all that picture? It is the journalists.
So you cannot tell me, to accept the word of terrorists, by Israelis, to deny any of the Palestinians, all the Palestinians have the right to fight for the liberty of their lives.
Neptune Prime: Are you saying that the Two-State solution is okay by you?
Ramzy: It’s not okay with us. Neither is it okay by the Israelis. Israel does not even want the two states. If I have to choose, to accept one meter to be free from the occupation… I will take it, but I will continue to fight to free the other remaining lands. They have recalled the West Bank back to Israel. Israel does not want the two-state solution. Israel does not believe in the existence of the Palestinians. That is the ideology of the radical Zionist who rules Israel, we are facing Zionist ideology. Zionist ideology tells you that you cannot exist as a Palestinian on the land.
Neptune Prime: France and Canada and ordered the UN members planning to recognise the Palestinian state by September this year, what does it mean for the ongoing war?
Ramzy: It’s not only France and Canada… Also with the other 28 countries of Europe. I will tell you one thing. Who started the biggest mistake of occupying Palestine? It is Britain. Britain is trying to correct its first mistake. Why is the whole world trying to recognise the state of Palestine? It is because what Israel is doing is inhuman. To them, we are not humans, while they are acting inhumanely.

The whole world has taken and approved that Israelis are not human, because no human can do what they are doing today. No human can go to war with hunger, starvation of 2.3 million civilians in a very small area.
Israel’s propaganda started last night claiming that a journalist is a member of Hamas. So every Palestinian is a member of Hamas, even the baby who was born yesterday? Is that what’s accepted? The whole world is seeing hunger, but Netanyahu says there is no hunger. Is Hamas creating hunger? The whole world is saying the truth… Only Benjamin Netanyahu is telling us a different story. Do we accept what he’s saying? He is an enemy of humanity. He does not differentiate whether you’re a Muslim or a Christian.
The attitude of the US President? He is protecting the Zionists. He can stop this war in one call, if he’s a human. But I don’t believe he’s a human. I mean, I look at him. He does not speak from a political point of view. He acts like a cowboy, and he acts like a businessman. He sees the whole world as a business.
Neptune Prime: Do you think the US and Israel are in serious negotiations?
Ramzy: We used to think some months back, that Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to stop the war. But look at this attitude. We analyse that Netanyahu is not stopping the war because of his seat. It is his ideology. They act on their own belief they don’t take us as humans, to exist. Because if he’s a human, now he’s calling for the occupation of Gaza… But he does not even care about his hostages, and all the people who are staying in the minority area of Gaza.
He’s claiming that he wants to wipe off Hamas, believing that if he wipes off Hamas, no Palestinian will rise again, is this not a mental problem?

Look, if the whole of Hamas is wiped off, another generation will wake up and continue the story. We need liberty. The issue is not October seven. The issue is not Hamas. We have had 77 years of occupation, before October 7th, there were 6,000 prisoners, some of them were in for more than 500 to 700 years for life imprisonment. And no one in the whole world speaks about them. Some of them are cancer patients. I also spent two years in prison. There is no single house in Palestine without one or two members in prison.
So the issue is not Hamas. The issue is not October 7th. The issue is not Gaza or the West Bank. The issue is that we need to exist as any other human being in this area, whether Israel likes it or not, we have to exist.
Neptune Prime: Going back to October 7th, Israel’s security cabinet has approved a plan to take control… Do you think there is any possibility of Israel being stopped from reoccupying Gaza City?
Ramzy: No, let me correct you, there is no taking control… It’s reoccupation… They are saying control, using that language because of international law. In my opinion and from my understanding, Israel is above the law, by Americans. Israel is protected by Americans and by the so-called Arab leaders. And I believe Israel will continue to go on with their campaign. No one can stop it… only God.
Look at 2 billion Muslims on the whole Earth. They’re doing nothing. Who is rising today? It is the Christians. You see Australia, London, Holland and others, and all other Christian nations, because they have human feelings.
Neptune Prime: Why are they silent?
Ramzy: The Arab leaders? They don’t want Israel to be defeated. Because if the Israelis are being defeated today, they’re not going to be in the seat on the second day. Because they are spies for the Americans and Israelis.

It’s the regime of Sisi. Look at the difference when Morsi was in the seat Israel fought for eight days with Gaza. Morsi called Obama. One call and the war stopped. Will this monkey do that? No, he’s the one killing us. Not only food, but the people who ran away from Gaza… He took $5000 for each head. 130,000 people are in Egypt without a residence. If he catches you with a dollar, he deports you outside Egypt. He treats them like they are foreigners, who must have enough money.
More than 7,000 trucks are lined down by the border. And he’s claiming that his border is open. His army has 2 million soldiers. Because he is an Israeli and American spy.
Neptune Prime: What do you think he is responsible for the stagnant trucks at the border?
Ramzy: It is Sisi who is causing starvation. Even Netanyahu said it. He doesn’t have the shame to come up in the media and say it. You can kill more people with what you’re sending by air drop. And is that food enough for people to survive after four months of hunger?
Neptune Prime: Especially when you speak about teenagers, recently a 17-year-old was killed by air drops.
Ramzy: It is not only the teenager, yes also the content of what they are saying, that will not even survive 1% of the population. Do you know that in these two years, 60,000 children were born? And 50,000 mothers are pregnant. No ordinary village, no ordinary protein or vitamins for babies.

We have 27% of Palestinians who are Christians. And even in Gaza, we have up to 5000. You have the oldest church of 1,400 years built in Gaza, and the oldest hospital, of 1,300 years. They live amongst us. We don’t differentiate. Some of them went to prison like us. Some of them are members of different parties of the Palestinian Freedom Fighters.
I will tell you more, who protected Jesus? People think the Israelis are Christians, while they are Zionists, this country of today, the so-called Israel… They are Zionists. They do not even believe what Moses said to them. They don’t even accept Moses and his religion or Jesus and his religion, they call Mary a prostitute, and they torture the Christians more than the Muslims in Palestine. So we have to give this awareness to everyone.
Neptune Prime: What do you think should be done to change people’s perspective?
Neptune Prime: They wrote it for Christians to start believing in these. But as a Christian, there is no single bus with origin from Jesus on that. That “If you bless Israel. God will bless you. And those who do not bless Israel, God will not bless them.” There is nothing like that. It’s just that they’re writing such things for people to start thinking like that.
Neptune Prime: There’s thinking that there would be peace if Hamas agreed to certain conditions.
Ramzy: Netanyahu doesn’t want to stop the war. If you stop the war, on the second day he will be in prison. You don’t know why? He is facing a Tribunal, internally, for corruption. And not only corruption but also the October war, he will face another, internally. Now what of the external? If the Palestinian comes to surrender today, Israel will not surrender. Israel will continue to take. And Israel wants to fight to the last minute.
Israel has used more than six nuclear weapons in Gaza since the start of the war. Who supported Israel after October? Britain, France, Italy, Australia, Canada, America, Arabs, Indians, and even some have fought for the Israelis. Some Indians also fought for the Israelis. Some Americans and some other nations fought for the Israelis.
Neptune Prime: And for our final question, do you think that if Israel is ready to start negotiations, would Hamas be ready to oblige?
Ramzy: Israel doesn’t have the obligation to end the war. Israel doesn’t want to end the war. Not today, not tomorrow. Netanyahu wants to wipe Gaza off. But the land that Trump wants to rebuild will fail.
Neptune Prime: What’s your attitude towards countries like Iran, Yemen, and Turkey?
Ramzy: Since the struggle of the Palestinians, some countries have wanted to struggle likewise. Iran has supported this struggle, out of their power and out of everything, they have paid. Yemenis also, they are still standing by. Turkey is doing its best to support the Palestinians. But Turkey has complicated issues based on where they are. It’s complicated, but Turkey is trying to have some balance in the story.
Neptune Prime: What about countries in the Far East like Russia and China?

Ramzy: They are the ones who have supported Palestinians since the beginning. Even in the Security Council, some laws could have been passed against the policy but Russia and China stopped that.
Neptune Prime: What do you think of African countries generally?
Ramzy: African countries are trying. And this is how it should be. And we pray Nigeria and other nations should take further steps to keep West Africa on the move. Thank you very much.
